The Canadian Ethnic Media Association and the Canadian Ethnocultural Council celebrate 'Together in Canada'

June 24, 2018

On June 24th, over 400 guests enjoyed a message of community and inclusivity.

Take Your Seat was there to highlight our love of Canada's natural beauty.

One question has to be asked,

'Why is it that we embrace the natural diversity that makes this country the envy of the world, but we have yet to extend that embrace to the diversity of our people?'

Take Your Seat, Canada inspires you to see this great country instead of just talking about seeing it.

From July 1st to June 30th next year, motivation and Canada go hand in hand.

Just send us a note below to find out how.

Take Your Seat returns with At Origin gallery
June 29 - September 30, 2020

On June 29th, with the help of our friends Mehtap and Cuneyt from At Origin Coffee,

we launched a two month exhibition that brings our chair's journey to Toronto.

None of us can travel now, but maybe a cup of fresh brewed coffee, surrounded by photographs of Japan, Canada, Hong Kong, Turkey, and Vietnam will get you dreaming again.

At Origin is at 687 Mount Pleasant, Toronto, ON, Canada.

London Calling!

October 11, 2018

October 11th marked two firsts for us;

Take Your Seat's first trip to London, Ontario and our first talk with a camera club.

The London Camera Club hosted us as we shared our ongoing story of One People. One Planet. One Life.

About 150 avid photographers joined us to see and hear the stories

of our expeditions to Japan, the United States, Cuba, Hong Kong and of course, Canada.

They warmly welcomed both us and our message. Thanks, London!

Take Your Seat joins Farber offsite at Niagara-on-the-Lake

June 21 - 22, 2018

Imagine presenting to a room of executives and one very special guest: Mr. Harry Rosen.

That was just one of the highlights of a two-day strategic offsite that was

focused on bringing Farber's core team even closer together.

In three hours, we transformed a boardroom into an intimate "gallery"

that served as an artistic backdrop for a strategic discussion.

No matter who may be in your audience, Mr. Harry Rosen included, we'll tailor the right message to your group.

Let us know a few details of your event to get started.

Canadian Ethnic Media Association honours Take Your Seat

with award for Innovation in Journalism

December 19, 2019

Take Your Seat was honoured to be counted among the "voices of Canada" at the 2019 CEMA Awards.

We and our chair were proud to receive the Canadian Ethnic Media Association's award for Innovation.

Imagine you're on the northern shore of Lake Superior.

The sun begins its early rise as an ethereal mist hugs rock and tree in an embrace worthy of a photograph.

Now imagine that same scene almost 100 years ago.

Lawren Harris, the Group of Seven, are about to eternalize Pic Island in sketch form and on canvas.

With that backdrop as our inspiration, we began our next adventure:

Take Your Seat with the Group of Seven.

Fittingly, for seven days, we had the rare privilege to retrace the steps of the Group of Seven

around the untamed wilderness of Marathon, Ontario.

The goal was simple; trek through the forests and valleys to capture the same locations

that were both muse and motivation for a host of paintings

created by the Group of Seven on their repeat adventures to the region.

They were drawn to Lake Superior for reasons that remain true still today.

Our photography aimed to capture Nature as it was then, as it is now,

to rediscover the Group of Seven in our time and through our lens.

With guides, canoes and hiking boots, we attempted to do justice to the Fall colours and locations

that have made the Group of Seven synonymous with the natural beauty that

has become an inextricable thread of the fabric of our identity.

Along with us, of course, was our Director's Chair.
